Wellness Retreat

At Krittiya Yoga, I am thrilled to collaborate with Ruth Gallagher, the esteemed owner of Creative Sound. Ruth offers enriching Music Workshops that focus on wellbeing and team building.

Together, we have meticulously designed a Restorative and Revitalising Day Retreat that promises to lead participants towards a state of deep relaxation and renewal.

This retreat is centred on cultivating mindfulness and presence, employing the transformative powers of yoga, meditation, music, and movement to enhance your well-being.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is used to balance your body and mind. While practicing this yoga, we don't exert much force and stay in the poses for a longer time. Most of the poses are easy and simple that help with conditioning and restoring your body. One of the restorative poses is the Child pose, this pose helps stretch the spinal extensors, the gluteus maximus and the hamstrings.

Benefits

The benefits of restorative yoga are similar to many of the benefits you may experience with other forms of yoga, which include the following:

Relaxes your mind and body. This practice helps with reduced stress and anxiety.

Soothes the nervous system and enhances your mood. Restorative yoga promotes relaxation and deep breathing, which reduces depressive symptoms.

Reduces chronic pain. Research has shown that yoga helps reduce pain associated with headaches or back pain, as well as osteoarthritis.

Improves sleep. Adding yoga to your daily routine may help boost the quality of your sleep.

Improves well-being. In addition to lower levels of stress, researchers have also found that doing yoga regularly may result in less fatigue, more vigor, and improved well-being.

Gentle on your body. Restorative yoga is generally safe and often recommended for people with acute or chronic injuries.
